Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria is recruiting to fill the various Academic Positions and Non-Teaching Positions available at the institution. Interested candidates should possess relevant qualifications.
A. ACADEMIC POSITIONS
1.) Faculty of Environmental Design and Management
(a) Department of Urban and Regional Planning
Position:
- Lecturer II - CONUASS 03
- Assistant Lecturer - CONUASS 02

Areas of specialisation
- Housing and Urban Studies
Requirements Candidates applying for the position of Lecturer II should possess first degree in Urban and Regional Planning and a Ph.D. in the same or related/equivalent discipline. Candidates with M.Sc (by research thesis) in Urban and Regional Planning who possess registration with TOPREC will also be considered. In addition, candidates must be sound in the use of AUTOCARD and GIS and must be registerable with NITP and TOPREC. Evidence of research and publications in relevant peer reviewed academic journals will be an added advantage.
Candidates applying for the position of Assistant Lecturer should possess first degree in Urban and Regional Planning with M.Sc. (by research thesis) in the same or related/equivalent discipline. Candidates’ qualifications must be registrable for Ph.D. programme (60% in the coursework of academic M.Sc. programme) in Urban and Regional Planning in the University and with the TOPREC. Candidates with B.Sc. in Urban and Regional Planning with a minimum of Second Class Upper Division may be considered but must have registered with TOPREC. In addition candidates must be sound in the use of AUTOCARD and GIS.
Candidates applying for the position of Graduate Assistant should possess a minimum of Second Class Upper Division degree in Urban and Regional Planning. Candidates must be sound in the use of AUTOCARD and GIS. Completion of National Youth Service (NYSC) is compulsory.
(b) Department of Estate ManagementPosition:

Requirements Candidates for the position of Professor/Associate Professor (Reader)/Senior Lecturer should possess a first degree in Estate Management with Ph.D in the same or related/equivalent discipline with relevant teaching and research experience at University level. Also, the candidate must be corporate member of the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV) and must be a registered member of the Estate Surveyors and Valuers Registration Board of Nigeria (ESVRABON). Evidence of research and publications in reputable national and international journals and proven ability to conduct and supervise industry and student related research, are essential.

Requirements Candidates applying for the position of Assistant Lecturer should possess B.Sc, M.Sc in Geography/Remote Sensing and GIS with specialization in Human Geography from a recognized University.

Requirements Candidates applying for the position of Senior Lecturer should possess Bachelors Degree with not less than Second Class Lower Division. He/She should be registered as a Nurse/Midwife/Public Health with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria. He/She should possess Master’s Degree in Nursing and Doctor of Philosophy or Doctor of Nursing Science with minimum of 8 Publications in reputable national and international journals. Clinical work experience will be an added advantage.
Candidates applying for the position of Lecturer I should possess Bachelor Degree with not less than Second Class Lower Division. He/She should be registered as a Nurse/Midwife/Public Health with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria and should possess Master’s Degree in Nursing, Doctor of Philosophy or Doctor of Nursing Science and Minimum of 3 Publications in reputable national and international journals. Clinical work experience will be added advantage.
Candidates applying for the position of Lecturer II should possess Bachelor of Nursing Science degree with not less than Second Class Lower Division. He/She should be registered as a Nurse/Midwife/Public Health with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria and should possess Master’s Degree in Nursing. (b) Department of Community HealthPosition: Senior Lecturer/Lecturer I - CONUASS 05/04 Areas of Speclalisation Medical Fellow -Health Management
Position: Lecturer I/II - CONUASS 04/03 Areas of Specialisation Non-Medical Fellow – Nutrition
Requirements Candidates applying for the position of Senior Lecturer/Lecturer I (Medical Fellow Health Management) must possess MB.Ch.B. degree, FMCPH/FWACP (Public Health) with focus in Health Management. Additional training in Administration or Management will be an advantage. In addition, candidate for Senior Lectureship position should have cognate experience in the University system or equivalent institution.
Candidates applying for the position of Lecturer I/II (Non-Medical Fellow Nutrition) should possess M.Sc. and/or Ph.D degree in Human Nutrition. Entry level will depend on cognate experience in University or equivalent institutions and publications.

Requirements Candidates for the position of Senior Lecturer must possess Ph.D. degree in Physics or Engineering Physics from a recognized degree in Physics or Engineering Physics from a recognized University. Applicants must have at least six years of post-doctoral University full-time teaching and research experience, evidence of academic productivity through publications in reputable journals in the appropriate discipline.
Candidates for the position of Assistant lecturer must possess a Bachelor and Masters degree in Physics or Engineering physics (with thesis) from a recognized University. Registration for Ph.D programme in the appropriate discipline will be an added advantage.
Candidates for the position of Graduate Assistant must possess a B.Sc degree in Physics or Engineering Physics (no less than Second Class Upper division) from a recognized University.
5.) Faculty of Education
Department of Educational Administration and Planning Position:

Requirements Candidates for the position of Lecturer I should possess a Ph.D degree in Educational Administration, Educational Planning or Educational Management. He/She must have 3 years’ post qualification teaching experience from a recognized University or College of Education. Candidate must have been Lecturer II for at least 3 years. He/She must have scholarly publications in referred journals. Candidate must be computer literate.
Candidates for the position of Graduate Assistant should possess a Second Class (Upper Division) degree in education. Candidate must be computer literate.
B. SENIOR NON-TEACHING POSITION

Requirements
Candidates applying for the position of Confidential Secretary I must possess HND in Secretarial Studies/Secretarial Administration and NYSC discharge certificate or NYSC exemption certificate while those applying for the position of Confidential Secretary II must possess minimum of OND in Secretarial Studies/Secretarial Administration with four years of cognate experience.
